1. Creamy Garlic Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated. Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
2. Baked Ziti
Ingredients:
- 12 oz ziti or penne pasta
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella.
- Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top, then season with basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
3. Pasta Primavera
Ingredients:
- 12 oz pasta (fusilli, penne, or spaghetti)
- 1 zucchini, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the chopped vegetables (zucchini, bell pepper, tomatoes, and broccoli) and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the cooked pasta and season with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
